We know most of you guys want TWiT to die, but for the record we find your schadenfroh attitudes absolutely deplorable. Here at TotalDrama we remain deeply saddened by the indications that Leo Laporte and TWiT continue to fall into absolute obscurity.
<Truckee> Leo In a YouTube Search for TWIT in browser or AppleTV the real TWIT is 2nd or 3rd after Asian girlie sites of some sort. I haven't clicked on them!
<Tenspeed> Mr.. Wilkenson... I was wondering if you could talk about some speakers called Violet3d. Have you heard of them? Thank you for your wisdom and info.
<Titus> Salut...Bonjour à tout le monde.
<@ScooterX> PGMex: skypeout, Google Voice
<Maverik56> Best Buy is selling the LG Oled B Series at $1,109. And C8 At $1,359. And finally the E8 Series At $1,629. All 55 in Oled tv’s
<Chumly> was just looking at that E8 ad, but not sure what it really offers over the C8
<@ScooterX> Truckee: "Twit Live"<Truckee> ScooterX just ant TWIT company to know.<Truckee> ScooterX try it you'll see.
<ericDuckman> i'll settle for a D8
<@ScooterX> Truckee: I am aware
We understand that the average #twitlive user is completely retarded, but if “Truckee” had bothered to click on that girlie video he would have watched something one million times better than anything on TWiT.
It took this TotalDrama writer a month and several boxes of kleenex to determine that the video skewing YouTube’s search results was from Korean pop singer Hwasa (화사). Unlike Leo Laporte we can tell the difference between Asian people.
It appears that “twit” is also the word Koreans use to describe an absolute idiot. Go figure. We hard-coded the YouTube captions into the video for you sons-of-bitches. Enjoy.

Leo Laporte has a long and storied history of casually racist statements on the air. He once said “they all look alike” and said “nigras” while sitting next to a black man — who he later fired and cancelled his show.
Leo Laporte literally cannot tell non-white people apart.
The latest example is Leo Laporte trying to dig himself out of a hole, live on The Tech Guy radio show, broadcast to an ever-shrinking live radio audience, subjected now to his casual racism. Nathan tries to save him repeatedly, but he won’t stop talking.
We find it incredibly painful that Leo Laporte can’t even keep his racism under control after the events of this past weekend in Charlottesville. Disgusting.
It’s easy to almost feel sorry for Leo Laporte these days. Look at this crappy panel he gathered for TWiT, the show that once brought luminaries of our day:
Florence Ion (contract host for All About Android)
Alex Wilhelm (John C. Dvorak wannabe)
Peter Rojas (how’s GDGT going?)
What’s not so easy to forgive is his casual racism. He called Florence Ion a gypsy over and over until Peter corrected him. Leo Laporte used that learning moment to spew more stereotypes of the Romani people, asking her if she has a violin and requesting that she play it for him. He did all of this in a stupid accent, of course.
This is not the first time he’s done something like this. In previous shows and live copyright infringements, he’s stated that some black people “all look alike”, and he thought “nigras” was an acceptable term for black people as well. He didn’t really correct Megan Morrone’s racism, but it at least made him uncomfortable.
I am willing to accept that in five years there has never been a black woman on TWiT. Never, not once. (excluding ring central ad) I am willing to accept that although ten percent of the US population is black, less than 1% of TWiT faces are black and zero employees. But women? More than half the worlds population was born with female genitalia. You have to make an effort to shun half the population.
The following listing is of the most recent This Week in Tech episodes, all of which did not have one person born with (XX) chromosomes:
Nov 23: 1 host and 3 guests
Nov 16: 1 host and 4 guests (special segment included)
Nov 09: 1 host and 3 guests
Nov 02: 1 host and 2 guests
Oct 26: 1 host and 3 guests
Making your girlfriend CEO does not make you less prejudiced, it shows what traits in women you value and what a woman has to do to get respect there. If you combine this with his outlandish statements to the lovely and talented Sarah Lane it makes me wonder.
For those of you who like math, the chances of getting head 15 times in a row on a two sided coin is .00341796875. So if 50% of tech journalists are women and they were selected randomly the odds of getting (see listing above) 15 guests in a row as men are likewise .00341796875. And tech journalism is filled to the brim with female journalists.
