I don’t know, I believe at one point they devoted almost every This Week in Google to attacking trolls while on one episode, can’t remember which, where Both Leo Laporte and Jeff Jarvis mocked a video of a young woman, or rather mocked her, then immediately attacked how terrible trolls are when they are being attacked by these nasty assed trolls without realizing how hypocritical they are.

The awful thing about posting frequency going down a bit on TD is that it actually had to happen. If Twit continues being just as shit for many more years, TD will lose all its readers cos we will all be utterly fed up with reading the same sort of post again and again.
A consequence of Twit really failing will be TD really failing: as fewer people can bear to stick around and put themselves through watching an episode of “Leo Laporte Shows How Little He Cares About Computers”, fewer people will bother reporting on the awful things he does and the awful way he treats people. As fewer talented people stick around and are then fired, there will be fewer scandal stories.
Twit will either collapse, in which case there will be mo new stories for TD to tell, or it will reach equilibrium, where slightly talented people will work behind and in front of the camera, talented just enough to not fuck up but not enough to bring out the bullying misanthrope in Leo; the number of original viewers will drop to “not worth counting” and the rest will be people who never saw Twit when it was great, and that’s when Twit will not be worth writing about at all.
As I said before, I’ve contributed articles to this site and would love to help out, but I just cannot bear to put myself through even ONE show of his.

You can break twit down into three types of programs:
1) shows that have stars
2) shows where Leo is the star
3) shows that staff is the star
1)I don’t watch MBW, SN or WW anymore but I admit they have not gone down in quality. They just stopped growing because the network doesn’t bring in new people.
2) TWiT, TWiG, SS get worse every episode. The guests are awful. (Not Effendunn’s fault) Leo is bored by tech. (he accused JCD of not caring about tech, Hmmm) The lack of preparation turns most shows into Leo reading articles for the first time followed by banal discourse. His dumb accents are not entertaining and don’t cover up his contempt of humanity.
3) There is no one left. In his mind the Vow of Poverty thinks he is a good host and people like him but he is living off of what others built before him. Megan is not a host. She has good qualities but she doesn’t translate into a host.
They created a business plan to kill twit. Fire hosts, cancel shows, no new hosts or shows, stop caring or preparing.

They did it for a while and I don’t think they’ve posted since.

Did anyone catch LL volunteering to help Megan Moronee pull her mic cable thru and up her skirt during prep right before IOS today? she asks LL to close his eyes (in case the dark triangle appeared lol), then LL proceeds to say something like oh no that would be hot or something to that effect. About a year ago, Padre did a “know How” on Wireshark. He described in great detail how you too can sniff the traffic of people whose data you have no legal or moral right to be reading. He broadly hinted with his peculiar winks and smiles that he did this himself for shits and giggles (or worse) while using the pretext of “trouble shooting network issues, heh heh.”
I was amazed that TWiT would not only present a general description of how hackers spy on other people, but provide a granular guide on everything one needed to know to spy on others that one would only expect to find on a black hat hacker site.
In contrast to Steve Gibson’s, Padre’s POV was not that this is what you need to know in order to protect from being hacked, but how you too can be a snoop, just like the ole Digital Jesuit himself.

Exactly! It was the Draconian censorship in #Twitlive that brought me here. At one point, no negativity toward TWiT or Leo was extended to include negativity about almost anything.
Some of the excessive censorship was a result of the long time moderator, Dan, who relished kicking people he simply didn’t like or whose legitimate opinions he disagreed with. Now that Dan is gone, ScooterX dedicates himself 24/7 to carrying on the torch of Dan’s legacy of abuse of the moderator function.
However, other over-the-top Soviet-style censorship was a reaction to trolls, like helloworld, constantly flooding the chat with repeated, obscene rants and unfounded charges toward real people with real names and identities and careers (Unlike the anonymous “helloworld”). The reaction to the TD trolls made a bad situation worse by spawning the new censorship technique of muting which is helloworld’s (and other TD trolls) lasting contribution to #Twitlive’s lack of free expression.
