Leo Laporte Insults John C. Dvorak Again and Blames Him for the Schism

Leo Laporte simply can’t help himself, as if banning of John C. Dvorak and insulting him was not enough. Member of twit chatroom asked Leo when John C. Dvorak will be invited back but he dismissed the notion that it’s his fault putting all of it on JCD.

He thinks saying “we’re inviting him all the time” negates all the bad insults he’s thrown at John publicly. He continues by insulting John and his journalistic credibility, a well-respected figure in the field, as if John C. Dvorak never written for publications like PC Magazine, New York Times, InfoWorld, MacUsers, Forbes etc.

Later Leo aka Jiggly Piece of Lard who never done anything in his life besides eating soup on camera tries to make whole thing into a joke, like it was nothing but a silly play and and calls JCD cheese of the show, who only there to shill for his podcast No Agenda Show with Adam Curry (now 2x weekly, Thursdays & Sundays). Leaving us all flabbergasted by his attempts to ruin farther any kind of relationship with the man he was friends for a long time.

  1. Hey Laporke… maybe people would respect you more if you didn’t belittle respected journalists. Why don’t you go open another Amazon package… that seems to be the only thing you have a talent for besides your pathetic attacks on others.   5. ITM and TYFYC! The problem with TWiT is that Leo works too hard to guide his agenda into news stream rather than discussing the topics for what they are. If a panelists does not agree with Leo, then they will likely not return. It is that simple. Leo can say what he wants about JCD, but JCD still has podcasts of his own that are quite successful.

    1. You’re totally right, Leo does push his own agenda, attacking any company or person that has, as he perceives it, slighted him.

      I’m sure that JCD has moved on almost immediately and doesn’t even give the whole blow up that Leo had (since it seemed very one sided) and doesn’t give a crap what Leo or his guests that tend more and more to only agree with him even when it’s absolutely bullshit crap he’s vomiting out.

      There was even one show, I’m pretty sure it was this very same show where one of the guests literally made it clear that he would do anything Leo asked if it made the show get more watches.

      Since then I have noticed an endless stream of those that are more likely to agree with him rather than argue a point.

      Like any crackpot dictator he ‘vanishes’ those that speak up against his bullshit.

      While I don’t listen to No Agenda I have every respect for their podcast and from what friends that do listen to him have said their analysis of news is at least original and not just regurgitation of what people have said in the comments section of the story that the item being discussed was pulled from — yes Leo, you’re busted on that one, more than once you have literally read a comment from a CNET article word for word and presented it your own opinion .

      1. John has not, to my knowedge, discussed or commented on TWiT since Leo had his little tantrum. He has too much class to wallow in the mud with Leo. Adam makes the occasional comment, and they do a tech segment on their show that’s a joke made at Leo’s expense, but they’ve moved on for the most part – and just won an award for best news podcast.

        What did Leo win? Oh, too bad, they didn’t even get nominated.

        Meanwhile, Leo is showing off his new retail space…er…”studio” on Facebook. Like anyone cares. It’s looks like a Starbucks buildout. But they have a 10 year lease! Question is – will anyone still be listening in 10 years?

  8. To claim Dvorak didn’t follow tech is insulting. JCDV was almost always the only panel member who had a rational, dispassionate take on things. That approach is what led JCDV to immediately discern that clock-boy was a phoney while Leo succumbed to histrionics.

        I never had an opinion on Worley. She does seem to put her hands on LaPorte often. She seems to carry on a decent conversation. The idea she may or may not be a “rug muncher” makes no difference. It would be a problem for any other woman on one Leo’s shows.

  21. Gotta agree that Leo is quite childish about this whole thing. If I’m not mistaken, it wasn’t John that said that he didn’t want to be on the show. It’s Leo who told him he wasn’t welcome. While John is not “always tech based”. He is still a real journalist and brings a great atmosphere to the show.

    No offense to the TD crew, but you are actually childish with these amateur editing such as voice morphing and reporting. Just keep the original. It speaks for itself

Like babies that can’t have their pacifier when they want it. And Dvorak, who even listens to a man that basically made a controlled conspiracy out of all of society. The insanity of deciphering code out of words used in stupid newsmedia, well, that drove me away from No Agenda. It’s like a religion for tinfoil hat-wearing loons, a cult. It will die off soon enough, when reality hammers them all home. Nothing a little extreme weather, drought, heat and water shortage will not cure.
