Leo Laporte Reveals TWiT’s New Location in Run-Down Office Park Far Away from Downtown Petaluma

While waiting to talk to his good friend, Danny Boyle, Leo Laporte ruminated on his probable new location for the TWiT studio. This is the studio that FMCP alluded to 6 weeks ago, and the one confirmed by CeHO less than a week ago.

1370 Redwood Way, Petaluma, CA

An enterprising fellow in #twitlive sleuthed around and got Soup to admit that his new location (1370 Redwood Way) is located in an old office park — with ample on-site parking — far away from his current upscale downtown location right across from his beloved soup market.

Live from the TWiT beige metal house far, far away from beautiful downtown Petaluma, it’s The New Screen Savers!

The rent is too damn high.

We feel sorry for jammerb. He will soon have to travel quite a distance to fetch food for Leo on command. Our sources indicate this will not affect Lisa’s trips to the massage parlor and lack of time in the office.

  1. Live from the TWiT beige house from the 101 ,exit 476 ,second intersection at the east side , it’s The New Screen Savers!

Brewing Companies are not too far away. Let’s do dunk Netcasts. It would improve some and with the others you wouldn’t notice a difference.
The free Tesla supercharge station moved a little further too. Not around the corner anymore for the coming car.
The Applebee and IHOP takeout might get a spike in orders after the move.

  2. It’s plain to see that he has absolutely no clue of what’s going on, he’s just being led and told what to do, where to sign, what to say, and what to accept and just take it and shut up. I predict a huge blowout between he and his CEO. The stress level in his voice is palpable, good luck LL, you did this to yourself.

    1. Well good for Twit. Just think not many years ago Leo had it all. Good job, great people to work with and a office romance. Now a nice retail outlet, no good people to work with and his new life partner that says “Here honey, sign this” every mans dream.

      Good job Leo.

  3. i heard that it is right next to a massage parlor that charges by the quarter hour and specializes in ‘happy endings.’ Classy, Leo, real classy. I wonder if Soup will try to squeeze in a fifteen minute rubdown in between shows.

    1. Ken , you must be talking about this fine place.
Nothing better than to relax after or before a hard day of net-casting.

      Happy 8 Spa & Massage :
…. Helen (from Peking, she’s only been there two months) gave as thorough and skillful of massage ….. For $50.00 I got a full hour that not only felt wonderful but which also provided the deep tissue work I needed a hard couple of days. I left HAPPY and eager to return

  4. I think some of you may be missing the point: Leo and now Leo-and-CEO are not good at business. Building such an impressive and expensive studio and back-studio in a building which you do not own and for which you do not a long-term lease is not smart business practice and questionable planning. Very strange.

        1. Oops, UofPh is actually what I was thinking of. Since it’s correspondence she couldn’t have missed that lesson. Guess it’s confirmed, she’s a dumbcunt!

That’s one word, like dumbass but bette. I just made it up. Dumbcunt.

        2. Ummm, Yeah, I will smack community college. It’s where you go to get the credits you don’t care about and extend high school another couple of years. UOP is where you go to fool yourself into thinking you’re doing something worthwhile while the a-holes that run it give the place a bad name.

I can say that because I have a degree I worked damned hard for from there( not online, I went into an actual building for 3 years) All this smack talk about it doesn’t hurt the the pack of thieves and morons that run it. It hurts the people who were actually trying to do something with their lives.

Guilt by association and now all of us with 60K in student loans look like schmucks.

What I’m really saying is that expect the UOP ads on TWIT next week. Bird s of a feather and all that.

  5. Gum will pre stage his Segway 1/2 way in – park it and walk in while Leo picks it up for the remainder of the commute in. A inturn will hustle out and walk Leo’s dead Segway into the new Shit House all the while Steve Gibson is touting a new battery technology !!!

      1. Is it so out of the realm of possibility that they didn’t buy the cars? The did build a massive studio in a rented building. Sound financial thoughts don’t flow freely between Soup and Ho.

        1. If they’re leased by the business it’s probably the only smart financial decision TWIT has made. You never want to own a luxury car if you can lease it for 5 years and dump it.

Of course any smart decision happens by accident over there.

  6. How does a Catholic priest get a tech gig ? Who allows this to happen? It seems there are quite a few interesting personalities at work in TWIT. That Miriam Johrre also has me wondering, like something out of Metallica’s, “Turn The Page” lyrics.

“Is it woman or is it man”

    1. ugh ……. “Turn the Page” was actually a Bob Seger song. If you have not heard the Bob Seger version, pls, pls, pls look it up as it is much more heartfelt and meaningful. Don’t get me wrong ….. I painted my walls with Metallica…. LOVE THAT BAND (the first 5 albums anyway), but to say they penned “turn the page” is somewhat sacrilege if you respect the pipeline of blues and rock and roll.

      1. Ha, came here to say the same thing.

I was mostly going to do it for comedic effect though, I actually prefer the Metallica version. I loooove Bob Seger too though, Night Moves babay.

      2. You are right, but on the other hand it’s not relevant the conversation I proposed. FYI, my introduction to the song was by Metallica, so it’s natural for me to remember them for it. Plenty of songs have been remade to sound better than the original version and “Turn The Page” is one on them. Cheers!

        1. Uh, no it’s not. Seger’s original was art, Metallica’s was just another bad cover to finance all those lawyers they have trolling YouTube for people humming “for whom the Bell tolls” to their kids.

Think about that for a minute… I’d actually hum that to my kids…

It’s the last time you will!

  7. The immediate neighborhood is a hoot. While visiting Twit, stay at Petaluma’s luxurious Motel 6. Fine dining any hour of the day at iHop and BK. Then join Leo for a snack at Donut Den, a little cardio at Petaluma CrossFit, some fine leather goods suitable for Folsom Street Fair from Mavrick Leathers and an EKG at the Community Health Center. Truly everything within handy Segway battery range!

  8. So are the TWiTcouple going to write another stupid crappy lease that boots them out after three years?

What a fucking idiot to write a short term lease on the shithouse!

  9. You act like the Market will shut down without him. He will just send someone across town for his soup now. Since the new place is closer to his house, he will comment sooner or later about being able to walk to work (yeah right. like that will happen).

  10. Great decision. Put a studio way out on the edge of town, 3 miles from runway 11 and less than a mile from where the planes line up to land. I see huge soundproofing expenses ahead.

  11. “Commercial real estate is a real crap shoot.”

Yup. No money to be made from owning the building you occupy. Just ask Donald Trump or any of your past landlords, idiot.

Good thing Laporke has an “excellent” commercial agent representing him.

Pray tell, did she get her real estate training from the U of PHX, too? And is she licensed by the state of CA? Not that she needs to be since she is your spouse and can enter into contracts and obligate you, sucka Laporke.

  12. The Podtrack ads that every other podcaster on iTunes has isn’t able to pay for a 1.5 million dollar lease property these days. Time to move the studio next to JB’s liquor sto, and Quick-E-Pawn. She’s just about drained you dry Leo. Can you feel it yet? Can you feel it? LOL, how to appear rich: Lease everything including cars you know you can’t afford to actually own.

  13. Here’s some more info:

The new space is only around a third of the size of the ground floor of the current studio. That’s not including the unused basement.

The asking price is $1.50 per square foot, so that’s $4,800 a month. That’s massively cheaper than what he is paying now – and it raises the question of who on earth was making the financial decisions when they decided to move to the current studio.
