Leo Laporte Treated Jolie O’Dell as a Sexual Object

Leo can't help himself, even with works of art.
Leo can’t help himself, even with works of art.
This Sunday’s TWiT was the scene of an incredible display of how Leo Laporte feels women are beneath him. Most people would be ashamed if they acted this way when they were drunk.

But Leo Laporte wasn’t drunk; he was sober. He gawked and whistled at Jolie O’Dell, a reporter who happens to be a woman. This fact alone targeted her for his chauvinistic glances and glares. It allowed him to go after her with a sexual fervor unseen in the workplace since the 50s and 60s.

There’s not much more to say. Watch this video and come discuss it with us in our live chat.

  1. A lot of talk about Leo dressing up in drag as well as Leo watching virtual porn as a woman. Makes me wonder if he’s going through a sexual identity crisis.

  2. Seriously you guys are too fixated on Leo. This site was funny, but past cringy and borderline creepy that you’ve dedicated so much time to something you don’t like. You guys watch more TWIT than anyone, how do you catch all this stuff?

The only folks submitting stuff to your site are anti leo & anti twit, but you get so much content, that means you’ve got an anti-twit army helping their ad sales with your numbers.

      1. You don’t know how ad sales work. Companies pay for CPM. All they need is numbers… Smaller networks get paid CPA, which is what you a describing.

        trust me.

  3. He’s a shameless, sex-crazed pig. A self-proclamation that you “have no filter” is not a license to consistently act in an inappropriate manner and sexually harass guests and employees. Jolie’s husband should have kicked his fat fucking ass on the spot. If he’s ever actually called out on his behavior in a way that garners enough attention to lose sponsors or face legal repercussion, you can bet that this disingenuous scumbag will cry crocodile tears and beg for public forgiveness to save his skin (and wallet). Until that day, he’ll be an unrepentant, sexist slob.

In the meantime, I would like to see him desist in his politically-correct, pandering nonsense such as supporting reverse-discriminatory social justice movements like the coding education exclusively for young women. He invites attractive women to his podcasts so he can hit on to them and unattractive or lesbian women not because they are knowledgeable and add to the discussion, but because he believes it will make him look good and relieve some of his silver spoon, ivy league, privileged guilt.

This guy is one of the last fossils who inadvertently justify the need for feminism. He truly is ruled by his micro-penis and fails to treat women as equal human beings rather than potential sexual conquests. He’s so weak that he’ll appoint you to CEO if you’re simply willing to suck his dick behind his wife’s back.

I implore one or many of his past victims to pursue legal action. Most notable is former employee Sarah Lane. Sarah, if you should happen to read this, there is a plethora of evidence supporting your case in the iPad Today archives alone which demonstrates that Leo created an unacceptably hostile work environment for you. You didn’t deserve it. Someone must do something to prevent him from treating women like this in the future.

    1. Mr. Laporte had a filter; her name was Jennifer; he chose to divorce his filter and marry his enabler.

In the “Cottage” days, Mr. Laporte hosted The Tech Guy as a radio show. He appeared genuinely interested in helping his callers solve their tech problems. Mr. Laporte now hosts The Tech Guy as a television show. He constantly mugs and preens for the camera. His callers are mere props for his shtick. It used to be about them; it’s now about him.

      Just sayin’ and best regards

    2. I agree. One of these women must put Leo in his place. By remaining silent they encourage him to use his disgusting remarks on other women. I don’t understand why they just sit there smiling. Are they afraid of him?

  4. This site does a great public service. Now we don’t have to watch the crap TWIT has become and the embarrassment of Leo LaCreep. Thanks Total Drama for chronicling the TWIT meltdown.

  5. You guys are trying to make Leo look like a male chauvinist pig. Jolie is a Netcast friend and a fellow reporter. She nor anyone other female colleague would ever dream of filing a sexual harassment case agains him.

This is just typical Leo being friendly to a younger talented female guest. You just caught him on a bad day. It’s a none-off event.

    1. It is an event! He is gross, sexist and a pig to the women who appear on his show. Maybe that’s why he has never had a black woman guest. He says those revolting remarks to her and she would verbally cut him down so far he would wonder where his ‘bowling’ balls went.

  6. I don’t get what all the fuss is about? All this proves is that Leo is into women and is kind of effeminate (like where older guys have low testosterone, not in an insulting way). I’m more certain now then ever that CEO Lisa Laporte is actually a women. #my_TWiT_sister

    1. Is it just me or is this Leo guy playing out like a white version of Bill Crosby? In a few years, when Leo is no longer a relevant podcaster, will all these women come out and tell their stories to the media of how he drugged them, molested and raped them, and told them to keep it quiet or else?

  7. don’t you guys have any concern about being sued for defamation? Especially considering some of you have actually been identified, and can be specifically named in a lawsuit.

    1. Whiles theses Total Drama Queens (#Burn!) should be worried, I wouldn’t expect any legal action any time soon. And it’s not because of any laws or constitutional protections (#trolls_hide_behind_Free_Speech), its because we know what kind of people Leo, Lisa, Padre, and Mike are, OK, let’s be honest, what kind of people the whole TWiT team is. They’re good people! Doing amazing tech journalism. #CNN_of_Tech. Lisa would rather be re-editing TNSS’s then proving she is not a man in a court of law. Mike, he is way to into dub step music (and Google technology) to care what you think of his awkward news delivery style. Pardre, probably has a mean six pack under that collar, but doesn’t need to show it off, cause, well, that’s just the way god works. And finally Leo, the consummate professional, he’s just not going to take time away from his ‘on air prep’ to deal with this ‘monkey business’. #Leo_is_Techtastic

Yes, we should work tirelessly to change the laws that allow sites like Total Drama to continue to make fun of tech journalist (tech journalists are people too!), but until that happens I’m gonna be here fighting for TWiT and the TWiT army. We are not sheep but a herd! Bottom line, I think The New Screen Savers makes a pretty strong statement to the haters! It’s to good to hate! I call it #tech_tainment!

  8. Both Dvorak and Jolie know the kind of guy Leo is. Jolie and Dvorak share a similar mindset and I think they both find it entertaining. They know when they both are on twit a certain type of presence is expected. This last twit they both stepped up their game! Dvorak went hard feeding and firing back at Leo’s “friendly” demeaning attitude toward him and Jolie hit Leo at his weakest point by coming in as Bombshell while displaying wit and intellect Leo couldn’t possibly expect. It was a Great Episode. Leo and Jolie might not be on the #TotalDrama team but the team they have together is something to admire.

  9. I think the more important thing here is something people forgot to mention. Talking about porn in front of a small child who was in the audience. Great job LEO!

  10. Perhaps they should edit shows when an attractive woman is on TWIT. A rated version for people under 18 and an unrated version for the adults . CeHo should be able to stay up all night and get this done.

  11. Simply put, Leo Laporte is too rich and Ivy league for me to relate to. I prefer shows that show you how to fix a computer when it breaks, not how to just throw another thousand dollars at a new one. Also, once you’ve seen one Laporte show, you’ve pretty much seen them all. The format is old tech journalists jabbering about news that has already been published elsewhere 3 or 4 days before they podcast about it. Sorry Leo, you’ve passed your prime. So now he pretty much carries himself without a filter so that the controversy will drive the attention he craves. It works, but only for those who’s only aim is to satisfy their need for attention. Sorry TWiT supporters, he is no longer a journalist, he is just an old rehashed news reader.

    1. Hey Me, apparently you haven’t been watching The New Screen Savers? Cause if you were you wouldn’t be talkin’ trash about Leo and TWiT. TNSS’s is based on the old SS’s, has all the same segments but is new and modern and fresh. Nothing like the other TWiT shows (not that the others shows are boring or dated), and it takes tech variety to a new level. I think you’d especially like the call for help segments. I can’t wait for next week when Padre hosts! #Quadcopter_tastic!

  12. Right on Joe, folks are forgetting there was an 8 year old sitting right in the front row watching and learning how TV/Podcasts “stars” treat/disrespect the opposite sex

    1. And there was wine in them there mugs.
The bottle was conveniently and strategically placed off screen (notably adjacent to the 8-yr-old and his family).
Shame on me for not taking a picture.

  13. I’m the last thing from a SJW, but Leo is a heinous pig whenever a woman is around. How long before he stops parading his new wife into every damn conversation too – hey Leo, no one cares and we’re kind of grossed out.

  14. Again. I recommend the people who run this site seek professional help. I don’t listen or watch TWIT anymore and that’s just fine. Seriously. Get help.
