The New Screen Savers Video Leaked

We are proud to release the world premiere trailer of the disaster.

Well, it looks like they went all out hiring no one. They are apparently putting everyone who is already salaried to work on an additional show and paying them no additional money. The intro is cheezy but well produced.

We are hoping for segments like:

  • DubStep with Mike Elgan
  • More drones with father Robert
  • Travel coupons with Jonny Jet
  • Off Site producing tips with OMGChad
  • Can Megan and Jason please leave work early to see their kids?

Anyway we will be too busy watching this new show:

totaldrama once again pays its respects to savingtwit.org for the #scoup, we should hire their ace reporter.

  1. Another attempt by Leo to revive his past glory. It’s embarrassing to watch.

I wonder how much they paid for the name?

I hope they go all out and try and give it that Game On style production values…

  2. The New Screen Savers will be more produced than most TWiT shows, which are primarily talking heads discussing the top issues and the most important niche topics in tech.

TWiT CEO Lisa Laporte said, “Leo built TWiT because he wanted to capture the magic of ‘The Screen Savers,’ and after ten years of building his vision, we decided it was time to launch our very own variety show. We couldn’t resist naming it, ‘The New Screen Savers.'”

So expect poor productions value and, in a move to avoid paying for the name, have added ‘new’ to the title.

  3. That’s truly awful.

I did notice Leo’s ass is now so large you can see a strong suggestion of his butt crack through his clothing as he bounces along. That’s a whale of a good look!

    1. Leo must have decided he wanted to give him the scoop? Exclusive interviews with both soup and CEO. Shouldn’t he have disclosed that he is a regular guest on the network, seems like there could be a conflict of interest with him reporting on TWiT?

  4. It’s the show TWIT deserves, but not the one anyone cares about. So I guess I’ll watch it. Because he can take it. Because he’s not our hero. He’s a silent soup guzzler, clueless has- been. A dark turd.

  5. Wth Kate Botello is going to be on the New Screensavers? Didn’t she file a sexual harrasement suit on Leo at TechTV? I wonder how much they paid her for that or if she just be skyping in just to say fuck you Leo I am not sliding down anyone’s fire pole.

  6. Anyone notice how little emphasis was put on Elgan in the intro? On the latest episode of TWiT Leo mentioned how they have a green screen in the back as well as segways to edit people into the intro with. If I was Mike Elgan I would see this as a clear sign that he is of little value to the network. I don’t expect him to be around much longer.

  7. I love how Leo is saying how he can’t do any more shows and basically cancelled GizFiz but he is able to take on this new show exactly how if he can’t do more shows?

  8. This show should have been produced years ago when TWIT still mattered. He’s just trying to get back all the fans he’s lost over the past 2 years by recapturing his former glory. He’s irrelevant now. The show will not do well.

  9. I remember the screen savers, I enjoyed it. When I found out it would be returning I watched some clips for the first time in years.

The thing that stood out to me the most is the high energy of the show. I just can’t see the likes of Elgan and others 10+ years on recapturing that.

  10. SO…

This is NOT a reboot of The Screen Savers . It really amounts to a sad re-branding of some of TWiT’s weakest elements.

Once the first week of vague-at-best nostalgia and guest hosts ends it will just be another hour of modern TWiT content: repetitive discussion of the day’s tech news, more cringe-worthy how-to’s from the pompous PaDrone, the Mormonesque Jason reviewing an app, Elgum blathering about nothing from a teleprompter, etc.

Nothing new. Same old crumbling TWiT.
