Leo Laporte bows to chatroom demands to cut hair shorter

Leo finally gets darn close to shaving his head.
Leo finally gets darn close to shaving his head.

In the spirit of peace, love and understanding, the editorial board here at #TotalDrama would like to congratulate Leo Laporte on making good on one of the promises he made during TWiT’s “24 Hours of 2015.” Initially Leo made the claim that he would shave his head, but then subsequently severely disappointed fans who had donated a significant sum of money to see just that. Leo used No. 3 clippers to buzz his head, which fell far short of the “shaving” that was promised.

After bowing to chatroom demands, Leo did indeed do the deed, but not before calling those calling for the shorter locks “a bunch of dicks.” One buzz forward, one shave back.

So now it’s completely done. But doesn’t it look as if Leo is putting out a bitter vibe? What could possibly be so wrong about doing the right thing that would cause this sourpuss to be so sad:

Finally!
Finally!

  1. Glad to see him step up and do what he had said repeatedly on the show.. “If we get to $40,000 .I’m going to shave my head” Shave is shave. not Buzzed with clippers. Thanks Leo for setting this straight.

    1. Don’t you love that shit? The day after they raise $70,000 for impoverished kids, Kuntsmell goes out and buys a car that is worth around as much.

I know the UNICEF funds had nothing to do with the whore’s new ride, but if it was me I would feel funny dropping that amount on a frivolous, rapidly depreciating luxury when I just raised money to buy mosquito nets and bedding for kids.

They’re selling the Mustang apparently, guess Abby got jack shit.

  2. Again, we get a glimpse of the old Leo Laporte, the guy we once all admired.

Even the ‘dicks’ comment was classic Leo — we can tell he is saying it with affection, not spite.

    1. Indeed! Once in a while, the glimpse of the old Leo we knew and enjoyed before he was tamed/domesticated peeks through and it’s like a ray of sunshine filtering through the blinds on an otherwise drizzly grey overcast day. It’s that independent, “loner” spirit within him that identified most with being a tech geek/nerd himself – where his word meant things and he followed-through on what he’d say he would do, that same spirit that led to him running his own BBS in computing’s early days or publishing technology almanacs year after year.

The way he approached this situation with agreeing to the full-shave – despite any complaints at home – was vintage Leo peeking through just enough. It’s still there inside, somewhere. Hope remains.

  3. I call this a victory to all at #Drama and salute you for putting pressure on Laporte to follow through on his promise to shave his head.

This incident clearly shows Leo Laporte’s lack of honesty, credibility and integrity. It also demonstrates his shameless capacity to troll, and take advantage of the goodwill of the 400,000 viewers on a false promise.

To that end, it saddens me that so many viewers of Laporte & Kentzell’s “new years spectacular” were happy to once again “look in the other direction” instead of holding TWiT.tv to their word. The sponsors of the 2015 NYE broadcast should be ashamed to be associated with these bunch of liars and charlatans.

Thank you TotalDrama.eu for your extensive coverage and forcing these perjurers to keep their word; and am sorry to hear that he has decided to call you all a “bunch of dicks” after you outed him for the liar he clearly is.

  4. Respect meter for laporte just went up a notch. This is the guy that we used to know. Before Lisa.

Not sure why he is calling people dicks when he blatantly is the dick for not following through with his promise. So that brought the respect meter down again. Dingelnuts.
