I’m watching Windows Weekly right now hosted by idiotchops and he has to troll Apple. He actually had tears in his eyes as he whined about how the iPod and iTunes killed the Zune and how it was all Steve Jobs fault.
Gum is one person that should not be allowed to report Tech at all. He does not have the ability to refrain from using platforms to spread his person hatred of people and companies. To make it worse he cannot speak coherently. He sounds like he’s had a few too many and his brain doesn’t want to work properly and it’s stopping him from making sentences longer than two words.
Has anyone noticed that he is pushing “Elgan.com” which links to his google+ troll page.

This might as well be the first episode of Windows Weekly I can’t bring myself to listen to. EVAR.
I mean Iyaz didn’t exactly bring his magician at the mic skillz to his WW fill-ins, but he always delivered at least a competent show.
I so long for the days when BIG L could go on a two-week trip and everything went _smoother_ in the studio, with Sarah, Tom, and Iyaz sharing the load and delivering shows timelier and more professional than the big boy.
Now? This! Sad. 🙁

I unfortunately listened to WW today…and had to stop about halfway through. He used the show TWICE to push some Apple bias BS…
#1) He says that Microsoft is always late to the game, and never innovates when customers want it — and that Apple is the only tech company that innovates.
#2) He says that if Microsoft doesn’t release a giant touchscreen in the next 2 years, it’s game over for Microsoft (quote: “may very well be their last chance with consumers”) and that Apple will without a doubt do this in the next 2-3 years. What? Where does he get that?
#3) He gets so ridiculous that even Mary Jo gets noticeably frustrated and says that touchscreens are fine, but are pointless for real work…and that when everyone was singing the praises of Windows 8 early on, she was the only one who predicted users would hate it.
#4) He gets so preachy with pro-Apple, anti-MS stuff that even Paul starts chuckling and scoffing at Mike’s crazy predictions and Elgum actually notices and tries to change the conversation quickly.
#5) Oh, and early on in the show he tries to tie-in the Sony hack with it being a knock against Microsoft…as if somehow MS is magically responsible for every vulnerability and crappy IT dept. in the world. Mike, no one hacks Macs because no real company uses Macs.

I’m guessing it got worse after that, but I can’t tune in to listen to that guy. The show has FUCK ALL TO DO WITH APPLE, and he brings it up multiple times.

Reports that say that something hasn’t happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don’t know we don’t know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones.
