Scott Wilkinson is full of shit

Do not adjust your set. Scott Wilkinson seems to prefer looking like he just walked off the surface of the sun.
Do not adjust your set. Scott Wilkinson seems to prefer looking like he just walked off the surface of the sun.

Self-proclaimed video expert Scott Wilkinson is full of shit. The fat old Santa Claus impersonator and host of the AVS Forum (whatever the fuck that is) likes to go on and on about how important calibrating your video monitors is. In fact, he’s dedicated a whole show, “Home Theater Geeks” to talking about how vital his services are.

But the man with the world’s scariest laugh appears regularly on TWiT shows looking like a ragged orange with a beard. So just exactly how are we expected┬áto trust anything this guy has to say about video quality when he looks like he just stepped off the surface of the sun?

And just as a reminder, he’s been a kook for quite some time:

  1. It’s been super slow for any stories since Leo had that photo slip issue. I think that was the heyday of this website. He realized that he wins over the trolls if he doesn’t feed them and there isn’t anything interesting to call attention to. The latest batch of stories have been kinda like, “that’s cute Timmy, but focus on your homework instead of TWiT, please”. It was all fun for a while. Summer is here – time to get out čÖé

      1. What’s this sudden sellout by wronged TWIT hosts? First Shwood and JuRy now Tom and Sarah? I’m thinking some money’s changed hands as part of damage control. May be a story there if anyone can get some proof. For them to risk their Patreon supporters like that ( except Sarah) it has to be lucrative.

      1. You eat a dick, Brucie and the gang…the staff….whatever name you call yourselves here…editorial board my ass. When you start posting drivel that takes people to task based on their looks, you’re out of gas. Pack it up, eat a dick and burp.

  2. You’ve never heard of AVS Forum? Maybe get out of your bubble and learn something instead of proving to the world over and over again just how ignorant you are.

  3. This may be a bridge too far here. Scott’s ok and one of the few hosts untouched by Leo’s debauchery. Along with the Quartzite club of Ham Nation they pretty much fly in their own orbit. How Scott looks on TWIT isn’t up to him, it’s all in the hands of the TD working that day and Scott has just said the hell with it and leave it alone on more than one occasion just to get his show recorded on time.

    1. Being nice has nothing to do with supporting Leo’s shitty shows. Scott needs to have more pride in his work and insist upon not being portrayed as an Arby’s roast beef sandwich under the heat lamps.

  4. I suppose that it was inevitable that HelloWorld would attack Scott sooner or later. This crazy, baseless attack is just another sign of what a great job that Scott does.

Scott, in case you are reading this, I may owe you an apology – in the past I have complained about HelloWorld taking one or two facts out of context and then making up a crazy story about them. Apparently, this is his response – all crazy / no facts.

  5. Never heard of AVS forums? Really? I knew of this forum long before I ever heard of TWiT. It’s like th “go-to” site for all things A/V. From discussing A/V components to cables. There are others but there are a ton of members and if you are looking for info on something, this is the place to go.

I’m wondering why it seems to be the mission to even have this blog exist? I mean why is it anyone’s business what happens behind the scenes at TWiT? Who really cares? It’s a business and businesses are abut turning a profit. If a show isn’t doing that, naturally it gets cancelled. Networks do this all the time. It’s nothing new. It’s business . Does exposing what seems to be nothing more than gossip enhance anyone’s life? And so what if people find value in the tech info that’s discussed? If you can provide a better tech news option why not do it rather than berate others for trying to make a contribution?

    1. Wait one god damn second here…so Scott Wilkinson doesn’t laugh like a fucked-up “get-in-my-van” kind of pedophile? I was under the impression that that was exactly how he sounds.

  6. well, at least he changed is appearance from a “stoner” look from some of his earlier podcasts. That laugh is just evil, he should do voice overs for cartoon villains.
