Apparent Confirmation that Leo Laporte Bought Out Jennifer During the Divorce

When Leo Laporte began the relationship with the bookkeeper and divorced Jennifer, we assumed that she got 50% of profits from TWiT. This would explain Leo’s extravagant lifestyle and how much crap he buys “for the shows” because “it’s his job.”

It appears, however, that she took a lump sum that Leo and Lisa are still paying off. On iOS Today, Leo was nice enough to show us his conversation with the CeHO regarding this arrangement. Note: There may be other financial terms as well, such as ongoing royalties from profits, but we will probably never know.

We thought readers might find this interesting. Thanks to <QNXMonkey> for the tip.

It has come to our attention through the comments that many people may not know how the iMessage user interface works. The recent message displayed in the list could have either been sent or received. We don’t know who asked the question. Leo could have asked Lisa or the reverse could be true.

      Now they shift profits to Artanal Agency and Lisa will finish off Jennifer for good. The day she turns her cold hearted ways against Leo I do not want to be there. Many people here don’t like him but when that whore finishes picking his bones… I don’t want to watch. No man should have to go through that. Leo’s kids have trusts set up, Jennifer got her note, poor Leo.

          Same here. I only listen the No Agenda Show. After all, Leo has nothing on it because it’s the best podcast in the universe.

          1. Haha, same here. I never listened to it before, but it’s my #1 Podcast now. No matter what I’m listening to, if Pocketcast tells me there is a new No Agenda downloaded on Sunday or Thursday, I start playing it immediately – all other podcasts get a back seat.

  7. I am more disturbed by someone thinking Leo has any time to invest in “Neko Atsume”. Between playing Minecraft, buying stuff (because ‘it’s his job’) between shows, name dropping every chance he gets (“my good friend _____”), talking about his Telsa, planning vacations, saying he invented advertising in podcasts, eating salads out of mason jars, having dinner with Jeff Jarvis after TWiG at the CUNY studio, getting ridiculously expensive “Hamilton” tickets for Michael to get him interested in history, syncing up his latest Andriod phone that was dropped off by UPS, listening to the “Hamilton” soundtrack on Spotify, and taking pictures with his $4000+ Leica Q camera, and maybe hosting a show once in a while, there is no way Leo has any time to start a new activity. He has to fit all those things in while also keeping up with the latest technology, reading the manual so we don’t have to, and prep for all his netcasts shows. Ohhh.. skip that last sentence.. he has time!!

Pay off Jennifer’s note faster or get a $4000+ Leica camera (and his second Leica at that), $800 Galaxy S7 Edge, (which he has already dropped a couple of times and cracked the back) and take a trip to New York to catch a Broadway play before the original cast leaves.. Leo has his priorities straight!

  11. This only further confirms that soup’s life is fully mortgaged, even in divorce. His entire life is a sham, merely bankrolled by ad’s, and he’s as financially liquid as his macpro minecraft server in his living room.
    I haven’t watched #twat in months, and I haven’t felt better. I still keep my /unshunned nick alive in #twatlive for shits and giggles, but those assholes Scootie and RapeGuy are entirely too hateful and they physically give me the shits. No more giggles there anymore.
    I still consider myself a technology hound, and now I get my daily news from the actual sources, instead of having people read it to me with ads. This “Netcast” network is a complete joke. I feel really sorry for the poor saps who were duped into relocating their families, one hour north of San Fransisco Bay Area, to work for this jerk. And, don’t get me started about the other people out there who financed this Ponzi scheme with fake bricks. We should not forget, the brick purchasers are culpable in soups gluttony as well.

    1. I have pretty much completely quite with TWiT – except for last week when I need a few extra hours of content while biking, I decided to listen to an All About Android and a Windows Weekly…

      The start of the show when Leo chirps up about filling out there survey – that made me way more angry than it should have. He sounds so fake – like they are actually going to take the feedback into consideration.

      If Leo could take a little professional criticism and actually pay attention to some of those comments 3, 4, or 5 years ago – TWiT would be light years ahead of where it is now…

      I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – the reason I’m here is because feedback is not welcome at TWiT – and if you have any criticism you are a troll and they don’t want you around.

    2. Why doesn’t leo just buy new bricks? He was selling the original ones at a profit in order to fund twit when it was a startup. Surely buying the bricks at cost is within his means. He could probably even justify it as a business expense.

        Attempting to sell new bricks would most likely a) show that his audience has shrunk to just a few hundred, and b) really piss off those who originally bought bricks.

        Now, if he wanted to do the right thing, he could say that TWiT itself would buy bricks to replace each and every one of the originals, and then anyone who didn’t buy a brick the first time (or did, and wants to buy another) could do so. In other words, he could put his money where his mouth is.

        2. That’s what I was suggesting. If 1000 originally bought bricks at $10 apiece and his actual costs were only $5, then why not just buy 1000 new bricks and have them installed at the new property? He could probably write it off and retain the goodwill of the folks who contributed originally. Taking a stupid photo just seems ghetto and miserly and opens him up to critism. The fact that he’s unwilling to do this points to 2 things : either be is too cheap or they don’t have the funds.

While uttering his pathetic plan to take photos of the bricks and then print them on vinyl, he made it clear that one option was to just take the twenty foot brick wall with them….but it seemed he thought that idea was ludicrous. Why be moral when it’s so easy to be cheap instead? That’s what’s so great about doing the right thing in life, it’s usually the easier thing to do, right?

        He can barely afford the $500,000 move, people! His Hamilton tickets cost nearly that much…

  18. My guess is if a note is involved, Leo and Jennifer used a mediator , instead of going to a divorce court, since divorces are an open record but mediation is not (in most states.) Also cheaper if both sides agree on the breakup, etc.
