  1. I seriously hope there’s some actual TWiT [[[DRAMA]]] in early 2015, as there hasn’t been anything significant occur in the last 6-8 weeks.

I realize it’s the holidays and no businesses are doing much, but I really hope everyone is right in thinking that TWiT’s new direction becomes apparent early in January.

If Leo does NOT announce any lineup/host changes in January and TWiT is allowed to exist like this for another calendar year…yikes. Will they even get guests on ANY of the shows?

    1. It’ll just be more of the same shit. Elgum will stumble around like a motherfucker, Christina Warren will continue to wear stupid hats and Leo and Padre will eventually eat themselves to death.

  2. i agree with scott, the TWIT status quo has gotten really boring. I guess if the ship is sinking they are doing a good job of hiding it until the last moment. It seems obvious that TWiT has lost it’s relevance as has leo:

But what I don’t understand is if the network is really picking up new viewers to replace the ones who move on elsewhere.

TWiT offered something unique 10 years ago but now the internet is littered with this kind of stuff (and usually done better). Leo used to provide something that the geeks would listen to, but now the geeks are all making their own podcasts and videos. So is there really some fabled viewer who is stumbling on TWiT and becoming a new fan? Hard to imagine.

  3. Whether or not there are really significant events coming out of TWIT in 2015 is more or less irrelevant. Don’t fall into that rabbit hole where everything has to be instantaneous and immediate. Change happens pretty slowly, often taking years. Hell, as a society we’re still too ignorant to get past things like racism. But even on a more trivial matter like TWIT, companies rise and fall on a regular basis and TWIT’s gradual decline in viewership numbers doesn’t appear to be improving. As long as Leo continues to let Lisa run his TWIT empire into the ground there are no signs of any kind of notable reversal either.
So patience everyone, these things take time. Personally I’d prefer TWIT to come back to it’s previous status as a great source of tech info with engaging hosts, the infrastructure to rebuild is already established. But between Leo morphing into a douche-bag and Lisa’s amateurish management skills, I don’t have a lot of hope.

Ironically, quite an ignorant statement on your part. You obviously have no clue how race relations were 50-60 years ago in this country, or you’d realize how far we’ve come.

      1. Part of solving any problem is recognizing there is one.
Just because segregation is not as prominent as it was half a century ago, it’s still deeply ingrained into our culture. We are still no where close to solving divisive issues like racism, sexism, or acceptance of other religions.

  4. Sen. Ed Kennedy was a drunk, just like the people who run this site.

2015 promises to be a great year. We expect Leo to fire his long time friend Dick Debartolo, Chad to quit, Padre to host more shows and the CEHo to work less hours. Elgum may even get worse.
